Description: This project includes the adaptive reuse of a former bowling alley into a facility to accommodate 500 students in grades 6 through 8. The new middle school will serve as a feeder to the existing Animo South LA High School located just ¼ mile to the north. ASLA is operated by Green Dot and was developed by PCSD in three phases from 2004-2007. The middle school is in the Gompers MS, API score of 558, and Clay MS, API score of 523, trade areas. Both Gompers and Clay are PI 5 schools per NCLB standards. Gompers has been on the PI list since the 1997-1998 school year and Clay has been a PI school since the 2004-2005 school year.
